Stephanie’s interest in quilting started when she became pregnant with her second child. Her husband said “You need a hobby” a statement which he may be regretting a little now as she has taken over the spare bedroom which is packed full of all things sewing!
Early projects included quilts for cots and cushions for her young children. As interest grew, the range and size of quilts expanded, a number of them you can see here on our website.
The interest in sewing expanded and many sewing machines, overlockers and coverstitch machines later, the quilting has been complimented by dressmaking both for herself and her young daughter in a variety of fabrics from 4 way stretch knits through to wovens.
Fancy dress and World Book Day outfits, party dresses, gymnastics outfits and much more have been made but the love and interest of quilting has always been there and now the start of Carry on Quilting adds a new chapter to her sewing story.
